Travel records stay on your device

Trips and planned trips, countries and dates, notes, home-base choice, counters, document details, and document attachments are saved in Untild’s private app storage on your iPhone. The app writes its saved files using Apple’s iOS file-protection options. Palara does not receive or maintain these app records on its own servers.

Records remain until you erase them in Settings or remove the app. Before removing the app, export a backup if you want to keep your records. Data in iOS device backups, files you export, screenshots, or destinations you choose to share to are governed by your device, backup, and sharing settings; erasing Untild does not erase copies stored elsewhere.

Location tracking

If you turn on travel detection and grant location permission, iOS may provide location observations while the app is in use or in the background, depending on the permission you choose. Untild uses an offline country map on your iPhone to turn an observation into a country and travel-day suggestion. Coordinates are processed on the device and are not saved in your travel record; the app saves the country/day result and the observation time or review information needed to show and manage it. New or uncertain detections wait for your review.

You can turn tracking off in Untild or change its location permission in iPhone Settings. Location access is optional; you can enter trips manually. Background observations can be delayed or unavailable because of iOS, device settings, or signal conditions.

Photo-history import

If you choose to scan photo locations, Untild asks Photos for access and reads photo dates and saved location metadata on your iPhone. It uses the offline country map to suggest travel days. The scan does not copy or upload photos or retain their coordinates. Only days you review and choose to import are added to your travel records. You can decline photo access and continue using manual trip entry. Separately, if you choose a photo as a travel-document attachment, that selected attachment is saved locally in Untild.

Documents, reminders, and exports

Travel-document details and attachments you add are saved in the app’s local storage. Expiry reminders, if enabled and authorized, are scheduled by iOS on your device; Palara does not receive the reminder content or whether you opened it.

PDF reports, CSV files, and JSON backups are generated on your device. When you export, iOS lets you choose where to save or share the file; the destination you choose may be able to access it. PDF reports and CSV exports do not include document attachment files. Current JSON backups include the document attachments saved in Untild. Older JSON exports did not include attachment files. Manage or delete exported copies separately in the destination you chose.

Purchases and Apple

Untild Plus purchases and subscription status are handled through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Palara does not receive your payment-card details. Apple may process Apple Account, payment, and transaction information under Apple’s privacy policy. App Store downloads, purchase processing, and purchase restoration require Apple services; this does not send your travel records, location coordinates, photos, or document attachments to Palara.

Information Palara receives

Palara does not use Untild for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and the app does not include an analytics service. If you contact us, Palara receives the email address and message information you choose to send. We use that correspondence to respond to your request, provide support, protect our service, or meet legal obligations, and retain it only as reasonably needed for those purposes. Please do not email passport images, passwords, payment-card details, or other information you do not want to share.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can view, change, export, or erase your Untild records in the app. To erase trips, counters, and documents, use Settings → Erase all travel data. Revoke location or Photos access in iPhone Settings, and turn off tracking or reminders in Untild when you no longer want those features.

Because Palara does not receive the app’s local travel records, we cannot retrieve or erase a copy that we do not hold. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain certain personal information. For a request concerning information Palara has received directly, use our Contact page. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children and policy updates

Untild is a general travel-record app and is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has sent Palara personal information through a support message, please contact us so we can review it. We may update this policy when our practices change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
